COMMUNITY PARTNERS
SPB believes in giving back to the community and we do this by supporting projects that have a powerful, positive impact on society as a whole as well as those who are in need.
Following the success of the tuition centres, we set up a kindergarten for the education of young children between the age of 5 and 6 years old living in Selayang Mulia Low Cost. One unit in Block A was renovated and transformed into a bright and cheerful space for this purpose.
In September 2017, we welcomed 24 students to their first activity in the kindergarten – reading classes. The classes were conducted by two teachers, Cikgu Anita and Cikgu Rahmah for a period of four months. The kindergarten started officially in January 2018 with a confirmed enrolment of 30 students. They attend five classes per week that are provided by Tabika Perpaduan, an institution managed by the Jabatan Perpaduan Negara dan Integrasi Nasional, Jabatan Perdana Menteri (Department of National Unity and Integration, Prime Minister Department). Parents contribute a low monthly fee for the classes. We also provide financial assistance to the programme to encourage the SMLC community.
